Solid Plastering - Examples of our Work

Most old ceilings usually need plasterboarding over. Due to cracking or un-sound plaster or paint. This process entails making a few small holes in the ceiling to find the joists. This ceiling was repaired in Clandon.

When plasterboarding over a ceiling with cornice or coving, a metal bead is butted up to the cornice to make a straight edge.

When only a small part of the ceiling is damaged it can be repaired with plasterboard. Then we skim the whole ceiling. As you can see all the furniture and carpets are always protected.

These old walls have been treated with PVA adhesive so the skim coat adheres to the surface.
